Newborn Sibling Photos

If you’re planning sibling photos, please take a moment to read this section for helpful ideas and guidance. We approach sibling photos differently depending on the child’s age.

For toddlers around 2 years old, sibling photos can be challenging. At this age, we keep things relaxed and gentle — never forced. It can help to practise simple, soft hugs with a doll or toy at home before the session. If your child doesn’t feel comfortable hugging the baby on the day, that’s completely okay. Safety always comes first, and we can include parents holding the toddler in family photos instead.

For older brothers and sisters, please bring snacks and drinks to help keep them comfortable.
If siblings are unsettled, we’ll start with sibling photos first.
If they are calm and settled, we’ll begin with the newborn, which gives us more posing options for the baby.

Every session is guided by your children’s comfort — we follow their lead.
